Thomas was my personal injury attorney. We meet many times in his Conference Room. I would sit on the side and he would sit at the head of the table. On the day of the mediation, he found his way to the building, but he could not locate the office of the mediator. He did not have the phone number of the mediator with him. We were tne minutes late, and if the mediator did not come out of his office to look for us, Tom never would have found the office. He asked the mediator for advice on how to negotiate, but he did not follow the mediator's advice. When we finally reached a settlement, Thomas stated to me that there was an outstanding physical therapy bill. He stated he made a deal with the physical therapist that I would pay the medicaid rate of $52.14. I called up medicaid and was told the medicaid and was told the rate was $39.12.
