Joel Favazza

I am the founding attorney of Seaside Legal Solutions. Although my legal practice focuses on commercial and residential real estate matters, my comprehensive approach to practicing law allows my practice to handle an array of matters.

I have successfully represented both landlords and tenants; individual unit owners and condominium associations; construction workers and property owners; businesses and consumers; zoning relief applicants and impacted abutters; as well as clients in front of the Massachusetts Appeals Court.

I believe in full transparency when it comes to the fees for legal services. Our clients know exactly how much legal services cost BEFORE they retain Seaside Legal Solutions. There are no surprises!

I'm a descendant of Italian immigrants who settled in Gloucester almost 100 years ago, with strong ties to my community and I'm proud to be able to contribute to it further with my practice of law. I am currently involved with various Cape Ann youth sport programs, a member of the City of Gloucester’s Capital Improvement Advisory Board, having previously served as vice-chair and chairman of the CIAB, and an elected member of the City of Gloucester School Committee.

I earned my undergraduate degree at Brandeis University, my law degree at Boston University School of Law, and I was admitted to the practice of law in Massachusetts. While a sophomore at Brandeis University, I started my first business in Gloucester, which I ran successfully for four years before moving on to focus on my legal career.

During my time at Boston University School of Law, I was the first student to be granted an externship in the legal department for PAREXEL International. I also worked for two years at a general practice firm located in Salem, Massachusetts.

I founded Seaside Legal Solutions in 2010 as a response to the need for a 21st century law practice on Cape Ann and my practice is currently accepting new clients as Seaside Legal continues to expand.
