My practice focuses on patent prosecution and counseling in the fields of biochemistry, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, immunology, and medical devices. I have prosecuted patent applications for corporate and university clients in the United States and internationally. My prosecution strategies have resulted in the issuance of patents covering pharmaceutical therapeutics, antibody technologies, diagnostics, disease treatment, medical devices, and software.

I also have extensive experience in intellectual property due diligence matters, including freedom-­to-­operate and validity opinions, for domestic and foreign pharmaceutical companies. Furthermore, I have experience in ex parte and inter partes reexamination/ review. I have successfully obtained reexamination certificates for inventors in both third-­party and inventor­-instituted reexaminations. I have also successfully invalidated claims in inter partes proceedings before the USPTO and obtained favorable resolution of proceedings for clients facing infringement allegations.
