About me

Thomas Mason has been an attorney licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for more than 23 years. Attorney Mason was born and brought up in Lexington, Massachusetts. After graduating from St. Sebastian’s Country Day School with honors (as a classmate of Mad Men star John Slattery), Mr. Mason attended the prestigious Wharton School of Finance where he obtained a B.S. in Economics majoring in Accounting. Upon graduation, Mr. Mason matriculated at Boston University Law School.

Since passing the bar, Mr. Mason has been focused on assisting large and small individual and business clients. Mr. Mason worked as a senior tax consultant at a Big 4 and a well-respected regional firm accounting firm. Throughout his legal career, Attorney Mason has focused much of his time and energy on financial issues that affect the daily lives of individuals and businesses.  Attorney Mason regularly appears in bankruptcy court, helping clients facing foreclosure to stay in their homes. A member of the United States Tax Court, Attorney Mason has a track record of successfully representing parties before the Massachusetts Department of Revenue and the IRS. Attorney Mason utilizes his extensive business background in every aspect of his law practice to maximize the return for his clients.

Attorney Mason has always had a strong interest in preserving our area’s natural resources and, for more than a dozen years, worked as senior counsel on dozens of cases at the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection’s Southeast regional office in Lakeville. He has been a local conservation commissioner and represented the Commonwealth in some of its most important environmental cases. He has been a local conservation commissioner. He played an instrumental role in one of the largest enforcement cases, which resulted in a 6 million dollar penalty, in Massachusetts history.

A married father with two daughters, Attorney Mason has volunteered his time to many different organizations.  He is a licensed swimming referee, coached youth soccer, and has contributed his time and legal services to a number of non-profits.  An accomplished writer and author, Mr. Mason has written a number of articles for professional magazines about finances and environmental law. He is the author of the “Maple Street Guide to New England Ballparks”  and has written many articles for local newspapers. Many of his articles have appeared in the New Bedford Standard-Times.In Greater Boston, we serve Lexington, Burlington, Woburn, Winchester, Arlington, Waltham, and Bedford. In Southeastern Massachusetts, we primarily serve Lakeville, Middleboro, Bridgewater, Taunton, Freetown, Carver, Plymouth, New Bedford, Dartmouth, and all of Southcoast, the South Shore, and Cape Cod.
