Biography
Jonathan Moulton joined Ascend Learning in April 2011 as Senior Vice President and General Counsel. Prior to that, he was a member of the Legal Department of Cisco Systems after serving as Starent Networks' Vice President and General Counsel since July 2008. From October 2005 until July 2008, he served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Aspect Software, Inc., a software company providing products and services to the contact center industry. From September 2003 until October 2005, he was a partner of DLA Piper, a global law firm. Prior to September 2003, he was a partner in the law firm of Testa, Hurwitz & Thibeault, LLP, a law firm focusing on services to technology and emerging growth companies. Mr. Moulton has been recognized as a "Super Lawyer" in Boston Magazine in the area of Corporate and Securities Law and by Lawyers Weekly as one of the 2009 In-House Leaders in the Law. He has spoken at numerous programs for attorneys and technology entrepreneurs, including events sponsored by The MIT Enterprise Forum, The Practising Law Institute, Massachusetts Bar Association and Association of Corporate Counsel.
