I have been a permanent legal resident of USA since 1983. My green card expired recently and I did not realized it unail I had to subit a copy of my card to for a mortage. I immeditely applied for I-90 application. My application for green card renewal has been accepted and biometric has been comp...leted and USCIS granted me one year extension while I wait for my new card to arrive. Unfortuantely, The underwriter initially did not recognize that the stamp given to by USCIS. They requested additional doucumentation to prove my permanent residency and therefore was told I could not close on my mortgage until I provided other forms of documentation or wait for the new card to arrive. I therefore sought legal counsel with attorney Crowell. She was very helpful, honest and compassionate as compared to the other attorney I spoke to. She did not take advantage of my situation and gave me few suggestions. The 30 minute counsel was money well spent!!! I'm glad I connected with attorney Crowell. Now I am ready to close next week as schedule.
