Hired this lawyer to help with a business dispute. She promised me she could handle the type of work but it was quickly apparent she was in way over her head. Opposing counsel ate her lunch. And when we were in court it was obvious the clerk and judge had no respect for her. She's a mess - I shoul...d have known from her photo alone to stay far away!

I would never hire this attorney ever again! Over 2 years ago I hired attorney Hartman to represent me in my divorce and appeal on a DCF case. She finalized my divorce that was far from a good deal but she knew my whole background by this point and knew my whole case since she had been through it wit...h me for so long. So I rehired attorney Hartman to represent me in a appeal against DCF where my ex husband accused me of neglecting my son and being addicted to elicit drugs. I thought this was going to be a no Brainer case since every shred of evidence pointed to I never took any drugs and never neglected my son. Proven by literally hundreds of drug tests I had taken and also a hair follicle test I took that showed I hadn't taken any drugs 3 months prior to this and have never has a history of taking any drugs or neglect! I was also a stay at home mom for 3 1/2 years prior to my divorce without any other incidents up until the accusation from my bitter ex. Anyway going on over 2 years later and $2,500 just for the appeal! Attorney Hartman never did what she was paid to do and get a resolution to my case. Once she had her money she completely neglected and avoided me and on top of that she owed me a balance of $500 back proven by her own records that it was never spent on my case or used for billable hours. I have continued to call and email her numerous times without any answer or acknowledgment to me. I have been unbelievably patient with her and very kind considering and she just does not care. Now I'm a single mom paying child support to my ex because I have nothing that says DCF and my ex were wrong by thier accusations. I have no Job and I'm in extreme debt because I can't get a job due to my ex's erratic work schedule of 2 days work,1 day off,2 nights work,3 days off and it rotates back one day every week. I have lost my drivers license due to owing child support and I depend on a friend for a place to live. Attorney Hartman knows all of this and she still refuses to give me the money owed to me or find a resolution to my case! She will not even give me my records so I can find my own solution to these problems. She just doesn't care about me,my son or our quality of life now that she's paid!!
