What impresses Attorney Evan Bell’s clients most are his passion and commitment. Whether representing men or women, those with high net worth or little money at all, he is relentless in his pursuit of the best possible outcome for each person he represents.

Attorney Bell is protective of his clients – especially when the other side isn’t playing fair. By the same token, he’s also honest with his clients when it comes to setting fair and reasonable expectations.

“It’s especially important to help my clients separate their emotions from the facts of the case,” he said. “Everyone in divorce thinks that they’re the underdog. My goal is for everybody – on both sides – to be rational and reasonable and realize at times there may be compromise.”

That said, Attorney Bell will vigorously fight for his client’s best interests. He’s a masterful negotiator and a tenacious litigator who’s willing to battle it out in the courtroom, when necessary. “At the end of the day, I want the client to be happy with the agreement,’ he said. “The hope is to make the client as whole as possible after the divorce.”

Some of the most challenging – and personally rewarding -- cases he’s handled are “removals,” in which the parent with physical custody of a child wants to move to another state – or even another country. He recalls fighting for a parent who opposed his spouse’s attempt to move to another county with their children, and that of another man who travelled weekly from another state to visit his children in Massachusetts. “The bottom line is doing what’s best for your children,” he said. “The court considers what’s in the best interest of the children, and it’s my job to prove my client’s position is it.”

Evan Bell is a graduate of Wheaton College (MA) and New England Law|Boston. He is licensed to practice in law in Massachusetts. Self-described as “extremely competitive,” he enjoys participating in basketball and softball leagues in his free time. Attorney Bell also volunteers in the Suffolk Probate Court as a lawyer of the day and as ARC (Attorneys Representing Children) counsel.
