We can help you file a Chapter 13 bankruptcy which allows the consumer who has regular income to have the Court approve a three to five year plan which allows certain past due debts to be paid off over a period of time and other debts to be satisfied by only paying a portion of the total amount owed. This option should be chosen by a consumer who is behind on mortgage or car loan payments and needs a substantial amount of time to repay the past due portion of these debts to the creditor.
