OUTCOME: The Chapter 11 bankruptcy Plan was confirmed by the court in September, 2012. The owner has rebuilt and leased all of the rental units and is once again profitable.

Chapter 11 bankruptcy case involving 9 apartment buildings secured by a single mortgage. The owner defaulted on the mortgage after a fire destroyed two buildings. I helped the company file for chapter 11 protection, which gave it time to rebuild the properties and re-rent them. After prolonged negotiations with the mortgage holder, we were able to restructure the mortgage and cure the defaults
