Howard E. Stempler

My areas of concentration are commercial and civil litigation, commercial and residential real estate and business planning. Over the years, I have been involved in multiple areas of civil law which I am now able to effectively use in the course of representing client's in their litigation matters.

In addition to my years as an attorney, I have been fortunate to found and operate several businesses of my own, both local and and national, including OVO USA (as ski helmet company) and BABA restaurant.  That experience is a benefit to my clients (usually small-medium sized businesses) who need assistance in strategic planning in the startup, purchase, distribution, marketing, financing and sale of their business as well as commercial contract and lease drafting and negotiation. 

I have tried cases and/or appeared before most state and federal courts and tribunals in the Commonwealth including the Superior, District, and Probate Courts, the Appeals Court and the Supreme Judicial Court; the United States District Court and the United States Bankruptcy Court. In addition, I have represented clients before the Department of Industrial Accidents, the ABCC, DEP, the United States Department of Defense, and the Social Security Administration.

I was born and raised in Maryland. I moved to Massachusetts in 1981 for law school and have been a fan of all things New England ever since.
