CENIA MARGOT MERCADO-SANTANA

I am admitted to practice law in Puerto Rico's state and federal courts and also before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. I'm fully bilingual in the English and Spanish languages.

I graduated magna cum laude from University of Puerto Rico obtaining a bachelors degree in public relations and advertising. I also completed my juris doctor at said institution. After graduation, joined Goldman Antonetti & Cordova, LLC as an associate in the Labor and Employment Law Department. My practice includes labor, employment matters and civil litigation, where, among other things, I advise employers in how to reduce their risk of employment litigation and how to comply with state and federal laws. I also represent workers in unfair labor and employment practice claims. I assist clients in creating or reviewing employee handbooks, manuals, and policy statements, and represent them in labor and employment issues before administrative forums, as well as federal and state courts. 

I have a valuable background in international matters as a result of my participation in the University of Puerto Rico Student Exchange Program in Madrid, Spain and Buenos Aires, Argentina focusing on the Communications of the European Union and Mediation Regulations in Argentina. My practice includes business immigration matters. I am also a Public Notary.
