Specialize in significant "bet the company" cases including intellectual property litigation, theft of trade secrets, interference with contract, interference with business expectation, securities litigation, tax matters and business planning.

I represent business clients in U.S. courts and in foreign jurisdictions. I have successfully represented clients in U.S. federal courts including the 5th and 9th Circuit Courts of Appeal and in the state courts of Washington, New York, California and Texas. I have represented clients in substantial commercial negotiations or formal hearings in Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Russia, France, Holland, England, Australia, New Zealand, Israel and Argentina.

LL.M. in marine resources law. Extensive experience in commercial fisheries, marine transportation and marine insurance. Successfully litigated multi-million dollar recovery against Lloyds and 29 London Market marine insurance carriers in Texas and California courts.

Civil litigation on behalf of business clients in both state and federal courts. Admitted to US Supreme Court (1983) and to Fifth and Ninth US Circuit Courts of Appeal. I have tried complex civil cases and appeals for business clients in Washington State, New York, California and Texas.
