    John is correct on the law. I would say that you are not allowed to cross there, because it is neither a marked crosswalk nor an unmarked crosswalk.

    Do not support liars. I suggest you tell the insurance company the real date of loss, and support it with the tow bill. However, this will not necessarily help you with your case. You are still liable for the damages you caused to the car you hit.

    Yes, you must to to the clerk of the court and ask for it, pay your ticket and pay for traffic school.
    If you have been to traffic school in the last 18 months, then ask and see if you can attend second offender traffic school.
