Apparently these other lawyers missed the problems you found. There is scientific evidence that blowing 'too hard' will increase the result. The Halls, if in your mouth shortly before the test, will cause a falsely elevated result. The fact that he 'would have let you go' implies that the remaining evidence was, in the officers opinion, favorable to you.

Please disregard the Florida lawyers statement. In Illinois you ARE entitled to a jury trial. Nevertheless, I would 1st check for any video before deciding how to proceed.

Call the clerks office and they should return it asap. The Minnesota lawyer's answer should be ignored.

Your DUI lawyer probably told you whether you had a basis for challenging the 3 year suspension. You had to file something within 90 days of the notice of suspension, or it is too late to do anything about it now. And you cannot get any relief until that 3 years has passed.

The criminal charges and suspension are seperate and distinct. Winning one side of the case does not mean you also win the other side. Your lawyer probably already explained this to you. You must fight both the suspension and criminal charges to walk away without a consequence.

A public defender is a trained attorney also. Nevertheless, they are often overworked and must divide their time between too many cases. A private lawyer will have more time for each individual client. It might be worthwhile for you to pay for a private lawyer to review the case and receive a second opinion, once all of the facts have been shared with that lawyer.

A judge could choose to find you guilty or not guilty. These facts often go either way. A lawyer would know the rules of evidence, and would be there to assist you in persuading the judge. Doing it by yourself will risk losing simply due to your inexperience.
