Dorothy L. Raizman

A partner at Raizman Frischman & Matzus, P.C. I have practiced exclusively in the area of medical malpractice for the last 30 years. Graduating from Chatham College in 1968 with the distinction of Phi Beta Kappa, I pursued a career teaching for three years before attending law school. I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1977.

I am a member of the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County, a prestigious honor which I share with other members of the legal community who have distinguished themselves as litigators. Membership is strictly by invitation only.

I have committed my professional career to understanding the science of medicine and representing individuals injured in medical settings. I have handled a wide variety of medical malpractice cases, including those involving birth injuries, misdiagnosis of cancer, spinal cord compression, neurologic impairment, improperly treated medical emergencies and cardiac presentations, undiagnosed and untreated infections and their devastating complications, and vaccine injuries.

I have mirrored my professional interests with my charitable involvement. I have been honored to sit on the boards of Chatham College, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and, most recently, the American Liver Foundation.
