Clarence Michael Balingit

Mike Balingit is the worst attorney I've ever met. He represented me in a case which went to trail, didn't prep me for trial, never did his homework, and was so bad the judge wouldn't even listen to his closing argument. I lost a very simple case, lost my Contractor's License, and if he wasn't pers...onally going bankrupt, I would have sued him for malpractice. But there was no point, since there was nothing to gain. I regret the day I ever met this moron.

Firestorm 2007 left my three children and I destitute and we had to go on public assistance. It burned everything but the clothes we were wearing. Food, clothes, everything. And we were below poverty level before that. Shortly thereafter I was assaulted again by my estranged husband that the kids ...and I had been trying to escape for 12 years. He left me on the ground and went after my children at their school. I underwent a risk assessment for battered women and it was determined I was at their highest level of risk and he would most likely kill me. They told me to file for a restraining order and divorce immediately and prepared paperwork for me to file. But after I filed and the process was under way they left me without the free attorney they said would represent me. So I had to borrow money I couldn't afford to borrow and find someone myself. Enter Mr. Balingit. But a year and a half later he still hasn't filed for the other parent to pay child support, spousal support, go to a batterer's program... nothing. I'm still not divorced. And having to be at court every time I turn around is keeping me from being able to get the second job I need to get by. The worst came when I found out I no longer had an order of protection because Mr. Balingit had failed to show up in court. Why wasn't I notified? Mr. Balingit never contacted me and has not returned calls letters or emails from me either. I've even left requests at his house. He disappeared without signing off the case which meant no one else could advise me. He has my file, my evidence, my injury photos, witness statements.... and never submitted any of it as he was supposed to do. He's returned nothing so that I can defend myself at upcoming court dates. His cell voicemail is always full so you can't leave a message and no one ever answers at his "office phone" or returns any messages left there. In my notes left on his doorstep I asked for anyone finding the note to contact me. No one has. Yet the notes are gone. The worst to me was failing to show up to keep an order of protection in force for a woman and her small children and then failing to warn her that the defendant could be on his way after court to carry out his threats of murder on them all. Not one word of warning did I receive from attorney (?) Balingit.

Mike Balingit came into my life during a time of great distress. The attention he has given to my case is remarkable. He has an incredible memory and an attention to detail rarely found among busy attorneys. I find myself truly impressed with his ability to uncover the hidden details and bits of evid...ence that I had not seen. Although my case is not resolved yet, I am confident that it will resolve in my best interest. Thank you Mike.
