David Neil Rubin

We hired Nancy Noyes to represent my fiance in an ongoing battle with his narcissistic ex-wife who continually harasses, files false abuse charges among other attacks and refuses to follow the parenting plan. At first she said she could help with a big retainer of course. She knew we needed an aggres...sive attorney to handle this case as that is what my fiance said from the first time he met with her. Nancy handed my fiance over to her colleague David Rubin who was supposedly "More aggressive" in the court room. We had no say in the matter and proceeded with Mr Rubin. Needless to say he wasn't encouraging at all from the start. He basically told my fiance that the court wouldn't do anything to his ex-wife regardless of the obvious attacks and manipulations she had imposed on my fiance'. Mr Rubin was asked to read the history and make himself familiar with what had transpired up to that point. My fiance basically begged him to help end the abuse, false allegations and intrusions his ex-wife has grown accustomed to. Two plus months go by and the court date arrives. Mr Rubin was not prepared and he was anything but aggressive. He allowed my fiance to be chewed up in court by his ex-wife's attorney as well as the judge presiding over the case. My fiance was extremely disgusted because again we had put out a lot of money for some sort of resolution. When all was said and done my fiance got slapped with his ex-wife's lawyers fee's and nothing was done to his ex-wife so the abuse will continue. When my fiance expressed his complete disgust with how Mr Rubin handled the case his reply was "Do you have a check for me?" We understand lawyers need to be paid however some compassion for what people go through during divorce/custody battles is also a must. This is our life and we live it daily. What was the most degrading to my fiance is that Mr Rubin legally removed himself from the case when we didn't hire him to begin with. If a lawyer can't handle complicated cases and deal with dis-satisfied clients with valid emotions then maybe they should consider another profession. I will never recommend this firm to anyone because when you hire a lawyer you should have some say in who they hand you off to. We put our faith in Nancy Noyes and she gladly took our retainer and we trusted her judgement when she passed my fiance off to David Rubin. They both could care less that they failed my fiance big time!
