Prevailed in equitable adoption theory in probate.
This probate litigation had complicated legal issues and a case presenting facts of "first impression" in Washington. Litigants prevailed in theory of equitable adoption (adoption by estoppel) as it was not the heirs fault that their adoptions were never legally completed.
Chinn v. City of Spokane
Lawsuits & Disputes
Prevailed on LUPA appeal of a rezone.
Petitioner appealed decision of City Council regarding an approval of an application for a change from O-35 to OR-150. Petitioner argued that City did not follow its own Comprehensive Plan and that the rezone should not be allowed. Petitioner prevailed in Superior Court on this Land Use Appeal and was successful in reinstating the Hearing Exsaminer's ruling denying the rezone.
