Case Conclusion Date: November 28, 2007
Practice Area: Personal Injury
Outcome: Jury verdict in favor of the plaintiff
Description: State Farm denied insurance coverage under plaintiff's underinsured motorist policy after plaintiff was injured in an accident on I-90. The accident occurred as a result of a table in the middle of the roadway. State Farm claimed that the plaintiff could not prove the table came from a vehicle, and thus denied coverage under plaintiff's insurance policy. State Farm forced the plaintiff to file a lawsuit and prove her case to a jury, which she did, and and received a unanimous verdict from the 12-member jury. State Farm must now not only cover the claim, but pay plaintiff's attorney's fees and costs.
