Biography
I am the Managing Member in the Tacoma office. I concentrates my practice in civil litigation, with an emphasis on the defense of clients in personal injury cases. I have represented clients in the trial and appellate courts in the states of Washington and in federal courts in Washington and California. I represent physicians and hospitals in medical malpractice cases. I am also experienced in the areas of wrongful termination and employment discrimination, products liability and general liability claims.
Experience
Litigation of medical malpractice cases for hospitals and physicians throughout the state of Washington, including the University of Washington Medical Center, Children’s Hospital and Regional Medical Center, Multicare Health System, and Swedish Medical Center.
Litigation of wrongful termination and employment discrimination claims on behalf of employers.
Worked with the Washington State Medical Association and the Tort Reform Coalition (including testimony before the legislature) on tort reform legislation in the state of Washington.
Representing and advising physicians and physician groups with respect to the myriad legal issues that they encounter in the day to day operation of their practices.
Presentations to national, state and local medical associations on a variety of subjects, including avoidance of medical malpractice litigation, tort reform, informed consent and defense of high risk malpractice cases.
