Can I get the charges dropped for someone but saying I did it

The simple answer to this is DON'T DO THIS. If you were not involved in the offense alleged, you are providing false information or statements to law enforcement (a crime). Second, you may get charged with the offense. Third, if you were involved, then you are providing incriminating information to law enforcement against yourself. Your proposed idea is a mistake and should be avoided. Before talking to law enforcement consult a criminal defense attorney in your jurisdiction.
