Client Review:
I was charged with a simple misdemeanor of domestic violence and because I was falsely accused I informed Patricia that I wanted the vindication of a trial on the merits of the case. When I met Patricia, she laid out a game plan and seemed confident that she could try the case.
Subsequently, however, after I paid Patricia initial fee, she did not stick to the game plan in that she refused to consider any of the evidence or witnesses that I provided admissible or germane. She told me that she did not feel that the alleged victim could be impeached even though the evidence showed that the alleged victim had already given conflicting statements. Patricia told me that my options were either to accept the first deal the prosecution offered (which my commanders told me would have destroyed my career) and cost me two years of my life on probation or face “substantial risk of conviction” if I chose to proceed with a trial. She even told me that “this: substantial risk of conviction” was present even if the alleged victim did not appear at trial. I hired another attorney who was willing to represent me at trial. Four times prior to the trial, the prosecution called and offered a new plea bargains which were much better than the first one that Patricia advised me to take. As I was not interested in a plea my new attorney took the case to trial and easily impeached the alleged victim on the stand based upon the same evidence and conflicting statements that Patricia had deemed inadmissible. I am happy to say that I was found NOT GUILTY by the jury after 15 minutes of deliberation! Patricia may be fine as a DUI attorney because most people charged with DUI are guilty and looking for some type of a deal. However I wanted a lawyer to take my case to trial and although she represented that she would do this, ultimately she was only interested in the easy resolution of a plea bargain. Anyone wanting a trial lawyer might want to consider another attorney on this site. Patricia Ann Fulton

Client Review:
If you’re reading this posting, you or someone you know is probably in a tough spot. After recently having my first experience with the legal system, I can sympathize with how you’re feeling. You’re probably scared, upset with yourself, and unsure what your next step should be. Nonetheless, you need to be proactive right now. Speaking from experience, it is foolish to go into any legal arena without the best representation possible. Without a good lawyer, you’re at a competitive disadvantage in the system. That being said, the question now becomes which lawyer? In my opinion, that’s a simple choice. After having Patricia as my own legal council, I whole-heartedly recommend this individual on a professional and personal level. Patricia and her team were everything I’d hope for in a law office; thorough, well-respected, and compassionate. I sincerely appreciate all their efforts and wish them the best in all their future endeavors. Thank you.

Client Review:
I was criminally charged in a case that can best be called "bizarre". I had no prior criminal history and, quite suddenly, my livelihood and family were very much in jeopardy .
Patricia was aggressive in my defense and clearly took a personal interest in my case. In the end, and solely because of her hard work and well-established professional relationships, the charges were dismissed with prejudice, which is rare. My life is slowly getting back to normal and my view of defense attorneys has forever changed. I am deeply grateful to her. Patricia Ann Fulton

Client Review:
Charged with DUI, I got the best possible outcome I could see, kept my license and reduced to Neg 1. Even though I talked too much to the police about a prior arrest 9 years ago. Patty was understanding, very informed and acted quickly and competently in my case. Even after the DOL screwed up and issued an order to suspend my license, Patty quickly filed a motion which was granted and the suspension was canceled. This probably saved my job, perhaps my career and who knows how much more.

Client Review:
I was arrested for DUI on a weekend in early March of 2008. It was a second DUI, so I was in legal territory that was unfamiliar to me. I was in crisis, and was anticipating that my personal and professional lives would be disrupted in catastrophic ways. In short, I was afraid.
The next day I was researching the penalties for a second DUI in Washington State when I was lucky enough to find the Burg Attorneys website (http://www.glblaw.com/). It seemed that every search I did on mandatory minimum sentencing guidelines led to their informative and thorough site. I took this as a reliable cue that Burg Attorneys was a quality firm. Later that evening I called the number given on the website to schedule a consultation (206.467.2607). I spoke to Geoffrey Burg, who helped me schedule a free 60-minute consultation with attorney Patricia Fulton for the following afternoon. By the time I met with Patricia the next day, I had managed to worry myself into a very unpleasant mental state. She was patient with my multiple questions, and she clearly outlined what my options were, what I could expect, and what I needed to do to make my legal position as favorable as possible. I was given concise, easy-to-follow printed materials that would assist me with the preparation of my case in the weeks to come–most useful was a detailed “To Do List” (alcohol evaluation, alcohol treatment, DUI victim panel, arrest narrative, Department of Licensing hearing, etc.). Patricia was also completely transparent about the matter of payment: a reasonable one-time flat fee. She even advised me to meet with other attorneys in the area before making a final decision. I felt much calmer and in control of my legal situation after I left her office. I took the rest of that evening to consider my options, and then called her the following day to say I wanted her to represent me. I was able to pay the fee over the phone. In the weeks and months after that I had many questions about each stage of my case, and Patricia was always very prompt and thorough in her responses. I asked most of my questions via e-mail, but I had the impression that she would have been equally responsive if I had called her office. In court she was always informative and/or reassuring as necessary, and I also observed that she has collegial professional relationships with many other defense attorneys in the Seattle area. She is also familiar with the idiosyncrasies of many judges in the region–this proved useful more than once. Most importantly, Patricia has a broad and deep knowledge of not only the profession of law but also current trends and developments in law. This was crucial to the positive outcome of my case. Ultimately, my second DUI charge was reduced to Reckless Driving, the consequences of which are substantial but not nearly as personally disruptive as those for a second-offense DUI. I was also able to maintain deferred prosecution status for my first DUI, for which I am extraordinarily grateful. Patricia Fulton’s legal representation has made my life much simpler than it could have been had I chosen a less skilled attorney. Her professional knowledge and understanding of ongoing developments in the legal climate make her an invaluable guide through the rocky terrain of Washington State DUI law. I highly recommend this superb attorney. -Tim O. Patricia Ann Fulton

Client Review:
Personally and Professionaly there is none better than Patricia. Within minutes of my consultation call she relaxed my stressed mind by informing me of the penalties I could face and then the path that we would pursue. She totally took charge of my case and kept me informed of its status. Her experience and diligence as my defense attorney resulted in my case being greatly reduced from potential jail time to a much lesser charge and acceptable monetary fine. She saved my career and I learned my lesson. My rating of Patricia is much higher than 5 stars.

Client Review:
I visited Patricia last year after getting pulled over for a DUI. As a benefit to my employment with a large corporation, I have a group legal plan that entitles me to (almost) free legal representation through a certain set of attorneys. After consulting with 3 different lawyers who were part of my group plan, I decided instead to visit with a more experienced attorney like Patricia.
I am very happy that I did this. She was able to guide me through the entire legal process and educated me along the way. She was always responsive in returning my telephone calls and helped me feel at ease when I just felt like panicking. Patricia always had words of encouragement when I felt like I had no options. Patricia knows how to navigate the system very well and I felt as though I had an ace up my sleave. She explained all of my options, explained the risks and let me make the decisions through the entire process. I highly recommend her if you are facing a DUI charge in Washington state. Was charged with a criminal offense involving domestic violence. It was a first offense and I needed support. I contacted Patricia based upon her very professional website and I discovered an attorney who did more than expected in defending me, and also provided direction in dealing with issues that brought about behavior.
Patricia Fulton is terrific and I don't believe she charged me enough for the difference she made.
