Description: The United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit (CAFC) upheld a ruling of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office that the patent issued to Translogic Technology was invalid. In addition, the CAFC ordered the dismissal of the patent infringement suit, overturning the judgment of the United States District Court for the District of Oregon, which had awarded Translogic Technology $86.5 million in damages and to suspend sales of products incorporating the disputed technology.
