I have an LLC that wants to give no-cost licensing to a non-profit.

Licensing to a non-profit is no different from licensing an individual or business entity to use the images. There should be a written license agreement between the LLC and the non-profit, which covers the necessary details -- the rights granted, the restrictions and conditions that must be observed by the licensee, the length of the license, etc. It doesn't matter that the LLC is not collecting a fee for the license. The terms for the license should still be incorporated into a contract....
