Modeling agencies contract

Asked by a user in Phoenix, AZ - almost 4 years ago.

I know of no statute, rule or regulation that would REQUIRE you to have a contract before you start a photo shoot. You can shoot photos without contract, or releases. The question becomes, what are going to be the uses of the photos and who gets the benefitis of those uses? It is a good idea to have a signed and well-written contract before you do a shoot because it defines the rights and duties of the parties to the contract and let's everyone know what the photos can and cannot be used...
