I'm so sorry to hear about your ticket. That is really frustrating. You don't say what court you are in but there are some courts in the Puget Sound Region that would consider the facts you have provided and dismiss the ticket. Take all of your paperwork with you to the contested hearing to show to the judge. However, Washington law requires that any vehicle you drive is properly licensed. If you were ticketed in Washington State the infraction is treated similarly to a parking ticket. It will not appear on your DOL record.
