Bob Kane devotes his practice exclusively to resolving disputes with the Internal Revenue Service. He is a veteran of numerous tax controversies, particularly audits and administrative appeals. He also has handled tax litigation at all levels including appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court.
As a trial attorney with the Tax Division of the U.S. Justice Department in the late 70's, Mr. Kane handled a wide variety of tax trials and received a special commendation for outstanding service from the Attorney General.
Mr. Kane teaches federal tax procedure to CPA's at the Golden Gate University Graduate School of Taxation in Seattle, where he has taught since 1984. He is a past president of the Tax Section of the Washington State Bar Association. He has served on several Internal Revenue Service liaison committees and speaks regularly to various practitioner and industry groups on IRS audits, appeals, collection and litigation. He is listed in Best Lawyers in America and his peers voted him one of Washington's "Super Lawyers."
