    Client was a 50 year old married citizen. He was accused of molesting a 6th grade girl and was brought to trial on 3 counts of Child Molestation. Witnesses testifying against him in court were two police officers, the girl herself, the girl's mother, and a friend of the girl who the girl had told about the supposed molestation. After 4.5 hours of deliberations, the jury voted Not Guilty on all 3 counts. After the trial they revealed that it was never close, they were with the defense all the way.

    Description:
    Defendant worked in a construction area lawfully collecting salvage with the authority of site's owners. He found some valuable items in a construction site and started loading them into his truck. Unknown to him, the property was owned by a group of construction workers who threatened him and forced him to unload their belongings and put them back into the construction shack. He politely obliged. While watching him unload, they noticed that he had a gun and they took it from him. He asked for it back and they refused. He insisted, but they continued to refuse. After night fell, Defendant came back to the site with another gun. He slowly crept up to the shack, opened the shack door, saw his gun on a table, and entered. One of the workers reached for the gun as he entered and Defendant fired, shooting him in the leg. He then retrieved his original gun, left a business card with his name and address, and then went home and cooked up some macaroni and cheese. Police arrived and arrested him, charging him with 9 felony counts, including Attempted Murder, Burglary, Robbery, and assorted other felonies. The trial was halted during jury selection when President Ronald Reagan was shot by John Hinckley, requiring a new empaneling and questioning on the topic of handgun violence. The final jury acquitted, finding Defendant Not Guilty on all 9 counts.

    Description:
    Client was a young woman married to a brutal wife-beater. She put up with it for many years until he started also beating their 12 year old daughter. Client decided to move out of her home with her daughter and started packing one night while her husband was away. She decided to take his gun and was packing it when he unexpectedly arrived at home and confronted her. There was a struggle over the gun and in the confusion, she shot him. He fell to the ground and, in a final act of desperation and self defense, she emptied the gun into her husband, killing him instantly. She was charged with first degree Murder and the case was prosecuted by one of the County's senior female deputy prosecutors. The jury found the defenant Not Guilty.
