Do I need a lawyer to review my divorce papers?

You may have overlooked some things that a trained professional will be able to bring to your attention or to make recommendations you may not have considered. Once paperwork in a non-contested divorce is signed by both parties, can the petitioner have the atty delay filing w/the court?

If there is continued inactivity on a case, such as a dissolution proceeding for quite a while, the court may consider the file to be inactive and seek to have the dissolution dismissed form the court calendar. Each county has its own specific guidelines for ensuring that the case moves along. Here in Washington State for instance, the superior court provides each of the parties to a dissolution with a case schedule, so that the attorney's and clients know when certain pleadings and discovery...
