Sold house but no payment

Asked by a user in Tacoma, WA - about 4 years ago.

Unfortunately, if your buyer has stopped paying and is not returning your calls, you have very little choice but to take some action. If your note is secured by a Deed of Trust, you could start a non-judicial foreclose proceeding. If your note is unsecured, your best course of action is probably to begin the process of moving toward a lawsuit.

Real Estate Sales Misrepresentation

Asked by a user in Olympia, WA - about 4 years ago.

Due to a recent Washington Supreme Court case on this issue, it is now very difficult to bring a misrepresentation case against sellers of real estate. Buyers essentially have to establish outright fraud, which is a higher burden. Depending on your situation, however, you may have other remedies available to you.

Neighbor plants tall bush on Golf course obstructing my view

Asked by a user in Mill Creek, WA - about 4 years ago.

Unless you have a view easement, you probably don't have a right to an unobstructed view. If this is a planned community, there may be CC&Rs that govern this issue. Otherwise, this would seem to be an issue between your neighbor and the golf course seeing how the bush apparently was on golf course property.
