First of all, congratulations on giving birth to your baby full-term. Second, insurance company is not in the business of being nice to you and offering you all the money you want. They are in the business of making sure that they pay out as little as possible. My advice is for you to contact one of the car accident attorneys on Avvo and have them review your case. Most attorneys will offer free initial consultation and will take your case on a contingent fee based.

  • I'm trying to figure out if I file my car accident (personal injury) lawsuit in Superior or District Court (at the Thurston

County Courthouse in Olympia) - are they both considered the state court? What is the difference?

    Chong’s Answer

Are you trying to do this on your own as a pro se? I highly recommend you speaking to a car accident attorney before proceeding on your own. To answer your question in the mean time, if you value your claim to be more than $75,000 then you will need to file it in the superior court. If you value your claim less than $75,000.00 then you should file in the district court. However, there are many other factors you should consider before deciding which court you should file. I highly sugguest you speak with an attorney. Most personal injury attorneys are willing to sit down with you for free consultation.

  • Can I claim medical expenses and car repair from an insured motorist if I do not have insurance? Washington State

A freeway accident occured when I was rear ended by another driver. I do not have insurance. She does. Can her insurance company deny car repair and medical costs because I do not have insurance?

    Chong’s Answer

Yes, if the driver behind you is deemed to be at fault, you will be entitled to get your car repaired and have them pay for your medicals. However, you should consult with a car accident injury attorney who will make sure you are able to get full compensation for your injuries and damages to your vehicle.

  • I had a car accident almost a year ago my back was hurt and i need physical therapy my kids were in the car with me

it wasn't my fault the other driver did have insurance how long could it take to close my case? how much could i get?

    Chong’s Answer

Sorry for your loss. Without knowing the specifics of your case, I don't think any attorney on Avvo will be able to give you the answer you would like. Depending on the severity of the impact, the amount and duration of your medical treatments are not the only contributing factors on how much you will be able to settle. The best thing to do is to speak with a personal injury attorney. The initial consultations are normally free and will be enough to determine whether you will be able to handle the case or hire an attorney. Hope this helps.

    Chong’s Answer

Sorry to hear about your situation. You should contact a personal injury attorney immediately to discuss your options. Without knowing any other details, unlike Washington, the statute of limitation to file a lawsuit regarding personal injury in Oregon, where the accident occurred is two years. I suggest that you meet with a personal injury attorney immediately. Good luck.

    Chong’s Answer

Sorry to hear about the headache. I agree with my colleague, you should hire an experienced auto injury attorney for a free initial consultation. Please be advised that most auto injury attorneys, like all other personal injury attorneys, will arrange to take your case on a contingent fee basis rather than a retainer fee upfront. That means no attorney fees unless the attorney is able to recover. I suggest that you allow an experienced attorney work for you rather than being abused by the insurance companies. Good luck.

    Chong’s Answer

Sorry to hear about your situation. You need to contact your insurance company immediately to discuss this situation. Also, if you were injured get medical treatments and hire a personal injury attorney. You can also contact a traffic ticket attorney to discuss your case and see if it's possible to dismiss your ticket outright.
