She is a awesome attorney. I had two cases and one was reduced way down and the other she proved me not guilty. I would not of wanted any other lawyer on my corner. Best money I ever spent!
While out of state for a job, I got into some trouble. Despite the computer systems in the jail I was taken to being down and the officer spelling my name wrong in the system, Virginia found me and found a way to get me a message so I could call her to explain the situation. With all odds seeming to be against me, she bailed me out, clearly and patiently she explained all the papers I needed to have and whom they needed to be signed by so I could fly back home ASAP instead of being stuck in a state I didn't belong. Instead of having to fly back and forth for multiple court dates, Virginia made it so I only needed to go back twice. She was patient, direct, informative and always responded to my emails and calls quickly. I highly recommend her.
This little review is to officially endorse Virginia and her work. To make a very long story very short, I lost control of my snarly little BMW and crashed into a non-moving vehicle, 100% my fault. The other driver basically said "stuff happens" and was content with his settlement, no issues. However, the cop wrote me for "speed exceeding the limits of safety" or some thing very similar...while the other driver disagreed with him, saying I was NOT speeding.
Virginia attempted to get full dismissal, due to the fact that the officers diagram was completely incorrect (bad physics, bucko, could not have happened like that) and the newbie prosecutor was pushing to make it stick...he obviously had not dealt with Ms Amato.
Virginia put me on the stand and began asking questions. She asked me to explain my relationship with BMWs and asking me to explain vehicle dynamics...when I tried to keep my answers non-technical, she pushed for more details. As I (of course) obliged, it became very clear to the judge that I am thoroughly knowledgeable, and that my knowledge of what does what and how this accident could have occurred became quite apparent...yes, it WAS driver error, but no, I was NOT going too fast.
Virginia took full advantage of "her witnesses" (me) knowledge and experience, carefully exposing the facts while not even attempting to cover up any mistakes (yes, I crashed into a parked car...clearly my fault, but the ticket was not deserved) and made certain the Judge understood the situation clearly.
What it really came down to is Virginia showed the Judge that the facts were simple: it IS possible to crash a car while not speeding, and cars can and do lose control even if being operated safely, even in the hands of a highly experienced driver.
Virginia was 100% worth her fees, and I still would have come out OK had her fee been double what she charged me.
I thoroughly endorse Virginia Amato. If you need an attorney, call her first.
When you talk about a defense attorney ms virginia's picture should go in the dictionary. she took care of me from my hospital bed all the way to my multiple cases being resolved. i am forever in debt to her.
She does not do her homework. If you do not know everything about your case do not expect her to find out until it is too late. Her fees are not indicative of her expertise. She charges much to much for the lack of knowledge and professionalism she claims to have.
She made it sound good in the beginning but then did not do her homework to find out all of the charges. Also, she made statements about the situation not being as bad as it looked but then things turned out the way I thought they would. I feel she tried to make it look better to make herself look better and then when it was time for court I was stuck. I think she took the case because she thought not much work would be involved and wanted the easy case. She was paid a lot of money for not much work done. A public defender could have done the same work and half of my savings would not have been wasted. She stopped communicating after time went by . She would not return emails or phone calls. I would not recommend her ever. The picture on this page is the only time you will see her smile. Her attitude sounds good in the first few conversations and later she is very negative.
Virginia Amato worked two cases for me. A DUI and a domestic violence case. In both cases she was very professional and knowledgeable. The results turned out far better than I would have expected. I would highly recommend her to anybody!
The best lawer I've ever worked with! She realy knows her stuff.
