Emily Oberdorfer was there on extremely short notice (only a few hours) to speak for our son at a DUI hearing. She pretty much dropped everything when I called (at the time I was driving across the US from Nevada to the east coast), and went to his hearing that same afternoon, and she did this with only my word that we’d pay her fees. As the British would say, I was "gobsmacked"! The outcome was the most positive we could have hoped for. We are so grateful for her generous and extremely competent representation; things could have obviously turned out much worse if not for Emily. If we ever need help again we’ll know who to call - although I hope we'll never need to. You can’t go wrong with Emily Oberdorfer representing you!
Thank you, Emily, for everything.

It's not all her incompetence, abrasive, abusive demeanor, it's more about the lies. I told her and her attorney husband that I wanted to avoid the appearance of bringing in a big time legal hot shot but wanted instead to hire the most local folks that knew the DA, knew the court, the judges, hopefully the officer, the jurisdiction, and worked there every day. They told me they were the firm. Nothing could have been further from the truth! Upon getting to court Emily had to introduce herself to everyone and then proceeded to spout law to tell them they were running an illegal operation. I wanted to crawl under the desk. I would not trust these shisters with a ball of twine let alone anything more complicated. Read Janine Robben's "Traffic School" and save yourself embarrassment and the expense of enriching this clown act.

After being arrested for a DUII, I wasn't sure if my case even warranted hiring a lawyer. I hadn't dealt with the judicial system much in the past and was very unfamiliar with all aspects of the process. I took to the interwebs and began searching for reviews and insight. I was surprised to find 100's of options, with very little in the way of applicable, non-biased peer reviews of services; as well as an abundance of vaguely worded (and often misdirected) legal advice.
I narrowed down a list of about 10 potential candidates, based primarily off of area of specialty and location. I arranged phone consultations with each and was able to begin further narrowing the list right away. Some offices quoted way more than I was prepared to spend, while other offices took to using scare tactics to 'seal a deal', and some office's definition of a "phone consultation" meant speaking only with their legal aid. When I reached the Oberdorfer law firm I was able to speak with Emily right away. Immediately I noticed a difference in her demeanor and attention to my situation. I arranged an in-person meeting. The firm's office was welcoming and comfortable. Upon meeting Emily, it was refreshing to feel like she was taking the time to hear my whole story. It felt like she really cared about the outcome of my case and I decided to hire her.
It turned out that my situation involved some intricacies which Emily was very diligent in addressing. Emily was helpful in thoroughly explaining all of my options and assisting me with determining a "best possible outcome". I was very particular about settling on a plan and had a million questions which I never felt embarrassed to ask or rushed through. Emily was patient and responsive. I found her to be extremely knowledgeable in her area of expertise. She was on time and in-person for every one of my court dates (something I noticed later on was other firms surprising clients in court by sending a 'fill-in' attorney). Emily was successful in helping me achieve the best possible outcome and I am very grateful for her efforts. Thank you! In the end, I was glad I decided to hire a lawyer, even though I had to stretch my finances really thin to make it happen. I would definitely recommend Emily Oberdorfer to anyone seeking legal counsel for a DUII case!

Emily helped me to keep a traffic citation off my driving-record, which will help me to save on my motorcycle and auto insurance, not just for me but, also for my wife and teen-aged son.

Emily Oberdorfer manages with grace, poise and humble confidence. I set my expectations very high of all professionals I hire, and I have to say that Emily not only met my expectations, she exceeded them by providing immediate successful results. Emily is focused and her polite demeanor is not one to be underestimated; she absolutely gets the job done. She's a gentle yet powerful force. I would certainly work with Emily again if given the opportunity, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for solid advice and effective results. I enter every situation with a winning strategy - and that's why I hired Emily. She'll never guarantee results - but if you have a chance at all, she'll make sure your rights are upheld.
