Steven Trenholme was my public defender for over a year in 04/05. I went through prop 36 and was in the Integrity House for 12 months. He helped me so much and got me through a very hard time in my life. I would recommend him to anyone who needs not only an attorney but someone also who is kind and caring.
Mr. Trenholme was and still is an important factor of my journey to recovery. Being able to give back to the community through several avenues, has increased the quality of life for myself and my children. I thank Mr. Trenhlome for helping me to realize that I did not have to continue to be self destructive and abusive to myself, and through the recovery process I was promised a better life and new opportunities that I now reap the benefits from. Thnak you again...
In April 1993, I, Mark Alan Johnston, was railroaded by the Butte County California Court Sytem into a frivolous legal charge of "making terrorist threats" and then encouraged to plea bargain to a "disturbing the peace" charge. The charge was frivolous in that it had no arguable basis in law--a person can not be charged with something that never happened, namely with stalking and making death threats. To this day, there is and never has been any evidence to support these lies, because the Butte County Law Enforcement failed to properly investigate the source of these false allegations. Butte County Public Defender Steven Trenholme was appointed as my legal counsel against my constitutional right to represent myself in my own best interests. So, yes, I was a client of Steven Trenholme, for what it was worth.
