Mr. Baskin represented me in a Restraining Order Case in 2009. He came to the hearing totally unprepared. The Judge suggested to come back the following day, Mr. Baskin told me "to save his time and my money and accept the Restraining Order", which I did. Today, I have spent over $45,000, my neighbor has taken me to court 22 times. I was accused of having physically attacked a 41 year old firefighter, I was 68 years old at the time. The police report stated "she chased after him", a Deputy Sheriff was present. Mr. Baskin never called me, never answered my e-mails, I was afraid I would not recognize him in court. He charged me $3000 for totally ignoring me and being unprepared.
I also had Mr. Baskin review a Real Estate matter in 2009, he told me I had no case, since the Title Insurance payed for having 800 square feet removed from my house. Today a San Francisco lawfirm is handling the litigation. Mr. Baskin charged me $5,860.05 at $300 per hour. In 2009 Mr. Baskin had 6 years of law experience, he used me as a cash cow and asked for a $7,500 retainer. Mr. Baskin was in breach of his legal and ethical responsibility to me and failed in the proper discharge of his duty. Invoice dated March 27, 2009, 3/3/2009 Review documents $990.00, 3/11/2009 Legal research $630.00, 3/13/2009 Review documents $1,140, 3/16/2009 Review documents $120.00, 3/6/2009 Legal research $225.00.
But for Mr. Baskin's malfeasance I would have easily won in court, Mr. Baskin had the police report, instead of vigorously pointing out the perjury by my neighbor to the Judge, Mr. Baskin did NOTHING. Today I have a 3 year restraining order for stalking, eventhough there is not one iota of evidence, nor did my neighbor file a TRO for stalking.

I worked with Caleb at Baskin and Grant for a debt collection case in 2011. He kept me informed throughout the process, explained all avenues and possible outcomes and ultimately settled the issue in a way that was amenable to both parties. He, and others at the firm, approached the issue with great care, confidentiality and integrity.
