I was fired last week from my job as relief manager at a storage facility here in Fresno. I know all too well about "at will".

Since you were apparently an "at-will" employee, your employer could terminate you for no reason or any reason at all, so long as it was not an unlawful reason. If your employer had 5 or more employees, you might have a claim for disability discrimination or failure to accommodate if your absences were due to medical care for a disability. Based upon the information that you privided, insurance policy and vin number, your attorney probably should be able to locate the defendant. If the defendant did not have insurance, you may be able to file an uninsured motorist claim with your own insurer and let them track down the person who hit you.
