After I was injured in a motor vehicle accident, I was unsure about whether to a pursue a claim. Richard Brenneman was recommended to me by someone I trusted and I am very pleased that I called him. He and his office staff were compassionate and empathetic and always kept me informed. I appreciate Richard Brenneman's professionalism. The result of the settlement far exceeded my expectations. I was made to feel that I was an important client.
I have a law firm in Salinas specializing in representing agricultural businesses. I have hired Richard Brenneman and the staff at his law firm to assist me with agricultural litigation cases on many different occasions. They have been very helpful in providing me with assistance as local counsel in cases pending in the Santa Maria and San Luis Obispo Superior Courts. They have done everything from simply assisting with court filings to assisting with, or handling, oral argument or examination of witnesses in court. Richard Brenneman is an excellent trial lawyer and very knowledgeable about the local judiciary and legal service providers (court reporters, process servers, etc.), and can help you expedite your case and win your cases through his local knowledge and expertise in litigation.
Brenneman didn't understand the nature of the injury and it's characteristic later down the road injuries which occur. Aside from his inability to understand, the expert witnesses were of little help, and gross amount of cost. The trust was not there as Brenneman led me to my statements and even had me omit the truth which i was not comfortable with. I felt he was "making up" a case, which would be fine, if it was a work of fiction, but it was not, it was my case. He also asked for more than I had wanted or how I wanted to take the money. We had three suits, settled two, and the one lost took all the money left. And I was not aware for three years that I owed the defendant monies inthe case which weren't paid when they were dispersed. I still owe it as far as I know. Brenneman did not try to help, he pushed me out the door, and then was angry when I requested the monies I owed the defendant, and argued I was not informed. Bad siutaion all the way around. I would not send anyone to him.
