  • People vs. Acoy Bohannon

    Practice Area:
    Criminal Defense
    Date:
    Jun 06, 2012
    Outcome:
    Dismissed.
    Description:
Mr. Bohannon was stopped on his way from his parole office. In the car, under the back seat, was found ammunition and hashish. Law enforcement took a dim view of this. He was arrested, and prosecuted for possession of both. At the preliminary examination I brought out the fact that Mr. Bohannon denied possession of the items, and that, independently of his denials, two other people admitted that those items were theirs. I also brought out that there was no opportunity those people to coordinate their stories. After bringing some other corroborating facts to the attention of the court, the court discharged him on the case.
