A private attorney will have much more time to devote to you and your case than a public defender. You can use avvo to find a few that are local, and most will offer a free consultation. Hiring one will give you the best chance of beating the case and/or mitigating the charges and punishment you are facing. Good luck. Jasen Nielsen

AA attendance can help in certain cases. I recommend AA attendance to my clients when they have elevated alcohol levels (above .15 or .20, etc.), or prior offenses involving alcohol. Your alcohol level, while above the legal limit, is not elevated. If you don't have a history of prior alcohol relate offenses, I'm not sure how much it will benefit the outcome of your case. If you feel that AA will help you personally, by all means, attend. AA is free, and has made a difference in the lives of...

I'm sure there are some attorneys on avvo who find a way to fake some of their reviews. However, I believe that nearly all of the client reviews on here are real. Trust your instincts with whom to hire. Keep in mind that somebody who is impatient with you now is only likely to be more so once you pay them. Best of luck. Jasen Nielsen

If you had a motion to suppress, you presumably have an attorney. If that's the case, have a detailed conversation with them about all of the issues in your case. If you don't have an attorney, I strongly suggest getting one, as it sounds like you have a case worth fighting. Best of luck. Jasen Nielsen

The answer to your question depends on the agreement a client has with their attorney, and what stage the case is at. It sounds as if you're having a dispute with your attorney regarding fees. If so, schedule a meeting with them to hopefully work these issues out. Best of luck. Jasen Nielsen

Helping somebody facing these issues with this background is going to take a lot of work. Nobody on here is going to be able to give any tangible guidance without getting heavily involved in the case. Extensive rehab certainly appears necessary. It's not clear who the defendant is to you, but in order to get any real advice in this situation, they are going to need to hire an attorney. Good luck. Jasen Nielsen

You almost certainly have a warrant. It's doubtful they will come to your house. Hire an attorney to help fix it. Best of luck. Jasen Nielsen

You may not need a transcript. A simple minute order of the proceedings may suffice. I suggest calling the court clerk to inquire. Good luck. Jasen Nielsen
