So long as the information you are seeking is relevant to the case at bar, you can serve a subpoena on persons who own the property in which he leasing and request the lease itself along with a notice to consumer (both have to be personally served absent a signed notice of acknowledgment and receipt signed by the person in which the subpoena is being served on). Or you can serve an Inspection Demand (2031) on your ex and request a copy of the lease in question.

You need to contact a family law attorney immediately and explain your situation to him/her. Depending on what documents have been filed there may be temporary orders in place preventing or allowing her to move. If nothing has been filed, I would do so rather quickly; thus the Court will have jurisdiction of your wife and kids and be able to make orders with respect to the kids. It is generally much easier to prevent someone from moving away with the kids than it is to force them to come...

The grandparents have no legal obligation to support the child; thus they will not be ordered to pay support. As mentioned above, bench officers treat child support differently when the parents are minors. However, babies are expensive and you will both most likely have to get jobs in the future to support the child. With that said, finishing high school is a stepping stone to getting a better job and a better future for your child. Another point to be made is that the Court cannot force...

I would either contact the family law facilitator to find out what form the Court is referring to or schedule a consult with a local attorney. It may be as simple as filing a form or a court hearing may be required. You can contact the facilitator or a local attorney via telephone if need be. Good Luck!

The police deal with Court documents quite often and the 2 most noticeably things on a Court document are the "FILED" stamp with the date and the judge's signature. Some courts will certify their documents with a red stamp on the back which is a way of evidencing an authenticate court document. There is also specific wording that the police will look form to confirm it is a genuine court document.

Prior to the other party filing responsive paperwork to your motion, you have the right to file a request for dismissal or contact the Court and take your hearing off calendar. If he has already filed responsive paperwork, you may need leave of the Court to dismiss the hearing. I would contact local counsel and/or the Court, as every county has different rules. Good Luck!

I always counsel my client to put what is in the best interest of the child first; even before what is best for the parents. Generally, it is in the bets interest of the child to have frequent and continuing contact with both parents; thus the child can have a meaningful relationship with both parents. If you as parents can work out a visitation agreement in mediation, chances are the agreement will work for all parties. When you go in front of the judge you roll the dice. If the father is a...

The first thing you should do is go to your local family law courthouse in the county in which you reside and make an appointment to speak with the law family law facilitator. They can assist with the forms and most courthouses offer self-help workshops. The documents are also available online. If you attempt to find him and use diligent efforts to do so and are still unable to locate him, you may be able to serve him by publication. I would consult a local attorney to discuss the...
