    This type of situation occurs frequently when there is a change in management. Under California Labor Code Section 2922, an employment having no specified term is terminable at the will of either party.     I think you asked and I answered this question on AVVO earlier, since the asylum interview is 1/14/2011. You need permission of the Immigration Court to cancel your asylum application. You need to retain lega counsel immediately.

    If your assylm case was adjudicated and denied, you cannot "cancel" it. You cannot unring a bell.     Regardless of the criminal matter, he is deportable and unless he can establish that he is entitled to relief from deportation, he will be deported. Of course, the criminal matter complicates things, as conviction of most drug charges make a person inadmissible and deportable.
