I went looking for attorney Gary Pohlson, but meet Lisa Bethune at his office instead. Gary was unavailable and fully booked. I was desperate, so I hired Lisa in 2008 to fight the Felony Domestic Violence charged levied against me. Lisa took my case for a flat fee. I let her know that I would not plead guilty to this charge and that we would probably be headed to trial. I told her that my victim’s motive was to gain legal residence using the U Visa (I-360). Lisa tried to convince me that my victim’s motive had no bearing on the case.
Lisa works the judicial system like a prosecutor, she used the DA investigators as investigators for my case, asked for multiple delays and offered several PLEA BARGIN just to end the case. I rejected all offers. It took 26 court appearances (mostly delays requested by Lisa due to scheduling conflicts, kids being sick, needing a sitter, etc…), but almost a year later and on the day of the trial, the charge was reduced to a misdemeanor. I took it (to end the court visits), but I’ve regretted it ever since.
After I plead guilty, I never heard from Lisa Bethune again. Really I'm not surprised. You?

I have no words to describe the ability of this lawyer while representing a client in the courtroom, she is THE BEST! Persistent, argumentative, inteligent, she nevers give up until she can prove your innocence. She will set the perfect platform for a winning-trial. In a nutshell she will protectect you from abusive prosecutors.
