Destress. Until you know more, it may never exceed the policy limits. Moreover, it is the insurers job to fight this. I fight with these insurer's regularly, and they never wantto pay policy limits, even in the worst of accidents. For now, don't worry. If you have more questions, contact my office directly, after you take a deep breath and relax :)

If you had a public defender in your original case, you can avoid the letter and the expense of an attorney. Go talk to the public defender and explain your situation, before you have a warrant. Many judges prefer defendants that take care of issues before there is a bigger issue, and will thus be lenient. If you have more questions, you are welcome to call my office at your convenience.

Dismissal. Sounds like the evidence is missing or cannot substantiate the arrest. Moreover, if the case is dismissed and you are in a busy county (for the arrest), it is reasonably likely the prosecutor could be too busy to recharge. This is not a promise obviously, but I have seen it happen.

In the United States you are innocent until proven guilty. This means you are generally not in databases for a conviction, prior to a conviction. Canada is tough on DUI, however, it is likely it will depend on which border agent you speak with while entering to determine whether you are admissible. If you have further questions about this, you may want to contact a lawyer in the Canadian provence you wish to visit.

Most DUI's are not deportable, but will be looked at by CBP. You should think about changing your status to citizen as soon as your 3 or 5 years have elapsed. You can contact me at your convenience if you have other questions

Many of these answers could have been answered had you hired legal counsel. As they make requests to the prosecutor and DMV for the discovery on your DUI. This means an attorney might already have an answer for you, whereas you do not. The BAC is only relevant to how high the penalty will be, or whether reduced charges can be obtained. You should be focusing more on whether or not hiring counsel is important in your case.

She can file suit against the Hotel. I would need more information to tell you if it is likely she would have a chance at success. However the question then is, how much were the items worth? What are her actual damages? JDH

There is never a "need" for an attorney, as you are always allowed to represent yourself. However, law like heart surgery is not something I would suggest doing on your own. With probate there are statutory fees. All attorneys have to stay under those fees, thus making probate very affordable to anyone. Yes I would suggest hiring an attorney. It is in your best interest.

The best defense is a good offense. Do not let the HOA continue to harass you and your family. Hire an attorney to take the fight to them.
You need to get to court to take care of this, and show that it was taken care of a long time ago.
