I have represented clients, big and small, in complex business and commercial litigation in State and Federal Courfs for over 45 years.  I have tried jury and non-jury trials, and arbitrations in several jurisdictions in California and a few in other states.  Because of the nature of the cases I have handled, most are resolved by settlements that frequently involve continuing business terms.  The need to maintain the confidentiality of my client's businesses and business relationships, and of the terms of nearly all of the settlements I have negotiated, precludes me from listing clients or matters.  I have been involved in cases arising out of intellectual property abuse, entertainment contracts and performance, professional responsibility of lawyers and of managers of business enterprises, farming practices in the central valley, property line disputes, building design and construction defects, among other subjects.   I also was the managing partner of JM&T and the Los Angeles office of Perkins Coie.  I served on both the Executive and Management Committees of Perkins Coie and in that role was responsible for laison with our offices in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Bejing.
