    Can you bring a law suit, yes, anyone can bring a lawsuit for almost anything. Does it make sense, well you have to decide for your self. But consider, did this incident cause you to start seeing a physiatrist, seek medical treatment for philological issues, etc.. if not, do you really want to make this your hobby?

    First calm down! It sounds like you are what lawyers call: 'judgment proof". In other words if you lose how are they going to collect from you. If you had renters insurance or home insurance before you became homeless you might even have insurance coverage. If worst comes to worse there is always bankruptcy.

    You should send your friend a certified letter along with a regular letter telling her you want the car back by a date certain. The letter should also say you will treat the failure to return the car as an embezzlement. The certified receipt should be notice.
