Do I file a motion for reconsideration with the same court judge or with the clerk of courts?

In the first instance, a motion for reconsideration must be filed in the trial court. Generally, motions are filed with the clerk, with copies to the judge and opposing counsel. Some types of post-trial motions extend the time for appeal, but others do not, so it is important to have a lawyer's advice.
