  • What is the criminal charge for a police officer when they lie on a police report?

This lie got someone sent to prison for 5 years.

    Glen’s Answer

There technically could be charged from filing a false police report to perjury. However, in the past couple of years officers have been caught lying, exaggerating, and embellishing reports which went public. The officers were never criminally charged. Some were administratively disciplined and some where terminated.
