Tad Foster has been practicing environmental law since 1974, following four years in the United States Marine Corps as a Judge Advocate. From 1974 to 1989 he was responsible for environmental law matters for the City of Colorado Springs and its Public Utilities Department. This included coal fired power plant compliance as well as wastewater and water compliance. Since 1989 he has had clients in California and Colorado, in particular, with mostly a focus on water quality matters. His expertise is recognized on a regional and national level. The Western Coalition of Arid States made a significant award to him in 2000, now called the "WESTCAS Foster Award." Mr. Foster resides in Colorado Springs with his wife of 34 years, while living life vicariously through a delightful daughter working in Berlin.
