Sarah did an excellent job representing me in a custody case. She was very thorough an professional. She did not leave one stone unturned. Sarah really listened to what I wanted and did everything she could to get it. She was attentive and always responded to my questions quickly. I was pleased by the outcome as well as the service I received. I will use Sarah in every case I need and will recommend her to everyone I know. She really fights for her clients. She is worth every penny.

I was ridiculously and wrongfully charged with a DUI a few years ago. I retained Sarah's services to fight this injustice. Her fees were reasonable. After about a year of fighting this and going through the legal process, the DA decided to dismiss the charges about a week before the trial was set to begin. Sarah was very knowledgeable, understanding, non-judgmental, and responsive to my needs and inquiries. She was able to get all of the results I was looking for just shy of keeping my license and restoring my dmv record. If I ever needed a lawyer again I would absolutely call Sarah as well as recommend her to anyone I liked!

S. Schielke aggressively pursues justice for her clients. When I called, she always answered. When I e-mailed, she returned the e-mail very promptly. I've dealt with endless attorneys that talk a big game, but don't produce results; Sarah is quite the opposite. I've worked with many contractual, litigation, and the occasional criminal defense attorney like Sarah, and can put her among the stars. I actually received a refund of the remaining retainer balance from Sarah (first time in my life). Almost all attorneys will bill a hour for a 2 minute phone call to eat through an remainder of a retainer. I feel like I have found my go-to Northern Colorado attorney, but also met a friend in the process.

Sarah was an excellent lawyer during my case. When I found her and discussed my situation regarding my DUI, she was extremely knowledgeable about the laws, plea agreements that could be offered, and what evidence I was facing. Sarah was extremely easy to talk to, discuss my fears, hopes, and potential positive outcomes to my case.
She was always on time, never missed an appearance, and would always go for the gold. She recommended that I file a hearing with the DMV to review my case to possibly not lose my license. She did a ton of research on the officer, the hearing officer, and networked with other lawyers to see what will/won't work in the hearings. Fortunately, her research showed that my arresting officer was a 90% no show at DMV hearings and I was apart of that statistic. The officer did not show up and she had a good chat with the DMV hearing officer since the DMV hearing officer wasn't happy that I was getting to keep my license but Sarah reminded him that his personal feelings do not factor in to the law and that he has to reinstate my license. She doesn't give anything but the facts and follows the law to a T.
Sarah is very patient and worked with me through this process. She answered her phone every time I called, worked out a payment plan, and always gave me her availability. At the time I was facing an in-state DUI as well as an out-of-state DUI. She worked closely with my other lawyer to game plan strategies and potential outcomes. They worked together to give me the best possible outcomes in both states so that neither outcome would jeopardize the other case.
Per my request I had asked Sarah to drag this case out as far as she possibly could. She was a little hesitant because of my unique situation but after discussing my personal past experiences of being in court for driving violations, she agreed to drag it out as much as possible for me. For 2 years she worked closely with me and never lost site of my goals, vision, and her persistence to put pressure on the DA to get a better deal was astronomical.
At each step of the process, each filing, each court hearing, Sarah would always keep me informed of the outcome and what the next steps were that we should take when the circumstances changed. I cannot speak highly enough of Sarah and her persistence to achieve my goal(s) regarding the outcome to my case. There were a couple times when the plea deals Sarah received were very tempting, however, I opted to not take the deal. I let her know that the longer I drag out the case, the better things turn out for me.
She is very thorough, precise, driven, and will always do anything she can to give you the best possible chances at winning your case. She fought hard for 2 years for me and in the end it paid off. About a month or so before I was set to go to trial, Sarah got a call from the DA that the arresting officer had been fired and that the DA was dropping all of my charges. Sarah was extremely surprised that this was the outcome but understood why I did not take any deals.
Sarah was amazing and I am certainly glad I chose her to represent me. She was everything that I could have wanted my lawyer to be. I have recommended her to friends in the past and continue to this day to refer friends to her if they need any legal assistance.

First-class misdemeanor charges were brought against our son, an accusation based not on an actual crime, but on the testimony of his peers. Sarah Scheilke made no promises outside of her control. She said because he fit a profile, the justice system might seek to make an example of him. While this was frustrating, it prepared us for the fight. When we first met at the courthouse, Sarah listened to our son, listened to our concerns, and when it was time for her to speak in the courtroom, she spoke respectfully and aggressively. That was how she seemed to approach everyone involved throughout the process, all the way up to when the D.A. dropped the charges. It felt like a long and slow ordeal, and Sarah addressed all our concerns (even the emotional, unreasonable ones) timely, with grace, and with confidence. We never felt trapped or helpless with her as our representative. We believe she made all the difference; her hard work and dedication is why our son is going to school, working, and seeing friends instead of jumping hoops to appease the system or identifying himself as a criminal of some degree.

Shortly before the legalization of recreational marijuana in Colorado, I found myself facing some completely bull crap marijuana DUI charges. I've had one previous legal problem (alcohol related DUI) prior to this and learned from that particular experience how imperative it is to ensure your rights are protected when involved in a criminal case in Larimer County. People in this jurisdiction get royally screwed on a daily basis simply because cops will arrest anyone for anything and many of those people can't afford any type of legal defense. I was not going to let that happen to me again! I'm not rich by any means, and Sarah was willing to hear my story and work with my financial status. Sarah's not your typical stuck up weasel of a lawyer who takes all your money and never returns your calls. Working with her was more like working with an actual person - a real human being who talks to you like a friend or neighbor. She knows all the right people and has a well established affability with the legal community. I started with a DUI charge and ended up pleading guilty to a class 2 petty offense. THANK YOU SARAH for protecting my rights and helping me keep my freedom which should never have been at risk in the first place :)
